A + B = More $
Aureomycin and Bovatec have been fed for many years to increase
rate and efficiency of gain in cattle and to reduce the incidence of
liver abscesses. Studies have long shown that their combined use can
deliver additive performance benefits for producers.1,2
• When Aureomycin and Bovatec are taken simultaneously, average
daily gain (ADG) has been found to be additive for the combination
• In a summary of 9 trials, combining Aureomycin (350 mg per
head daily) with Bovatec (30 g per ton) provided greater gain
and efficiency and fewer liver abscesses than either treatment alone1
• In an 82-day trial of
grazing steers (n=224),
steers fed the combination
achieved the highest ADG2
• Along with the potential synergies in
combined treatment, cost-efficiencies have
also been demonstrated compared to
using each treatment separately
